Meng het water, azijn en de suiker goed door elkaar en voeg de komkommer eraan toe. Laat dit een uur marineren. Roer af en toe even door. In het begin zakt de suiker namelijk naar de bodem.\u00a0Doe dit een paar uur van te voren voor een goed smaak.<\/li><li class=\"direction-step\">Snipper de ui en knoflook en bak aan in een pan. Voeg het\u00a0gehakt toe samen met de kerriepoeder. Bak dit goed aan en voeg dan de ketjap, azijn, bruine suiker en rode\u00a0peper eraan toe. Breng aan de kook en laat het inkoken.<\/li><li class=\"direction-step\">Schil de bleekselderij en de winterpeen en snijd in fijne blokjes. Voeg dit bij de kipvulling. Laat al het vocht verdampen tot er een smeu\u00efge vulling over blijft. Breng op smaak met zout.<\/li><li class=\"direction-step\">Voor de Surinaamse sambal\u00a0snijd je de ui, knoflook en de pepers fijn en bak dit aan in een scheutje olie. Voeg de suiker, ketjap, azijn en het sap van de citroenen eraan toe en laat tien\u00a0minuten zachtjes koken. Breng op smaak met en beetje zout. Bewaar de sambal in een gesteriliseerde pot met deksel.<\/li><li class=\"direction-step\">Snijd het broodje open.
